Thomas Willie Andries

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Thomas Willie Andries will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 11, 2023, at St. Edward Catholic Church, Fishville, with Father Daniel Hart officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery, Fishville, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.
Mr. Andries, 92, of Alexandria, entered eternal rest on Monday, December 4, 2023, at The Summit Retirement Center, Alexandria, LA.
Thomas was a Parishioner of St. Rita Catholic Church, Alexandria. He was a United States Navy Veteran and a retired machinist from Dresser Industries Valve Plant. He was an avid casino enthusiast and loved people watching. He was known to be quite the prankster and loved puzzles. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mona Mitchell Andries; his parents, Peter and Mary Andries; two brothers, Floyd Andries and Francis "Slick" Andries; and two sisters, Lillie Thiels and Vera Poche.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his four sons, Ronnie Laborde (Julie) of Baton Rouge, Donnie Laborde (Fran) of Shreveport, Kenny Laborde of Alexandria, and Sammy Laborde of Alexandria; eleven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A time of visitation will be held at St. Edward Catholic Church, Fishville, on Monday, December 11, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. at St. Edward Catholic Church, Fishville.
