THOMAS JAMES ANTHONY, 47, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at home. He was born in Lakewood Twp., NJ, and resided in Barnegat, NJ, prior to settling in Jackson Twp., 2 ½ years ago.
Thomas was a kindhearted, lovable, innocent soul, who loved being with his family on holidays, barbeques, and birthdays. His biggest love in life was dogs! Real dogs, stuffed dogs, pictures and books with dogs, it didn't matter. He loved them all. He was loved by the staff and housemates at Allies Group home, where he lived for 23 years (Barnegat and Jackson).
Thomas was predeceased by his parents, Thomas John Anthony and Rose Marie Pizzitola; his grandfather, John Anthony; and by his uncles, Donald, Michael and Robert Skiff. He is survived by his sisters, Tina Trial and her husband, Cory of ME and Nicole DeAngelis of LA; his grandmother, Patricia Anthony; his uncles, John Giacomantonio and his wife, Sharon, Mark Anthony and his wife, Joann; his aunts, Susan Skiff, Mary Downing and her husband Pat, Patty Youmans and her husband, Rich and Judy Anthony and her partner, Larry; and by his 11 cousins.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation from 4-7:30 PM with his funeral service at 7:30 PM on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson, NJ. A funeral gathering will be offered at 12 PM on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, 1 Honey Locust Dr., Lakewood Twp., NJ.
