Thomas H. Baker, Sr., age 87, of Meadville passed away Sunday morning July 27, 2025, in St. Paul's Senior Living Community.
He was born in Meadville on August 24, 1937, the son of R. Carl, Sr. and Autumn (Harned) Baker. He was 1956 graduate of Conneaut Valley High School and served his country in the United States Navy from 1955-1958 with tours of duty in the Naval Station in Key West, FL and Oceania, VA while in Oceania his unit spent time aboard aircraft carriers the USS Forrestal and the USS Intrepid and at Guantanamo, Cuba. On June 27, 1959, Tom married the former Theresa "Terry" Martin in St. Agatha’s Church, Meadville.
Tom was a member of Epiphany of the Lord Parish and enjoyed golfing and bowling. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus Council #388, Life member of the Meadville Elks Lodge #219, Conneaut Lake VFW where he was the former fire chief, and a former volunteer at Meadville Medical Center. He was employed at Molded Fiber Glass Tray Company in Linesville for 10 years and PPG Industries for 32 years, retiring in 1999.
In addition to his wife of 66 years, he is survived by four children, Connie Blumenstein and her husband Mike of Linesville, Thomas Baker, Jr. of Conneaut Lake, Suzanne "Suzie" Miller and her husband Rich of Conneaut Lake, and Holly Diamond and her husband Bill of Weirton, WV; three brothers, Leslie Baker and his wife Jane of Tacoma, WA, Carl Baker, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA, and Gary Baker, Sr. of Meadville; eight grandchildren, Gabe, Mike, Kelli, Cory, Nick, Matt, Billy and Santana; one great granddaughter, Maci and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Nancy Snyder Homer.
The family would like to thank the staff and doctors at St. Paul’s Heritage and Villa’s and Gentiva Hospice for their wonderful care.

A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., 12422 CONNEAUT LAKE RD., CONNEAUT LAKE. Burial will be in St. Agatha's Cemetery.
