Thomas A. Bayer

Thomas ("Tommy") Andrew Bayer entered eternal rest on May 9, 2025 at the age of 73 in San Antonio, Texas. Tommy was born on September 11, 1951 in San Antonio to Joseph Verne Bayer, Sr. and Libbie Svoboda Bayer. He graduated from Edison High School, San Antonio, in 1969. Tommy was a mechanic and lived his life using his gifts to serve people around him. Tommy loved making people laugh and spending time outdoors enjoying nature. Tommy is preceded in passing by his parents, Joseph V. Bayer, Sr. and Libbie S. Bayer; his sister, Libbie Ann Bayer Kolenda; his brothers, Joseph V. Bayer Jr., Lawrence A. Bayer, and Alois John Bayer; his brother-in-law Joseph Robert "Joe Bob" Kolenda, Sr.; and his sister-in-law, Betty Jo Bayer. Tommy is survived by his daughter, Sarah Whitley and husband Jacob of Austin; his grandson, Zachary Whitley; his brother, Charles W. Bayer and wife Eva of Elgin; his sisters-in-law, Diane Bayer of Brownwood, and Glenda Bayer of Kirby; and additional family members and friends.
Tommy was a kind and loving father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
