Thomas Charles Beach, beloved brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2025, in
Naples, Florida, at the age of 83. A longtime resident of Marco Island and formerly of Saginaw, Michigan, Tom lived a full and vibrant life marked by service, love, storytelling, and adventure.
Born on January 1, 1942, in Saginaw, MI, to Charles and Florence "Sis" Beach, Tom grew up with a deep appreciation for community, camaraderie, and hard work. On July 8, 1961, he married Nancy R. Morlik. Together, they built a beautiful family and shared a devoted marriage until Nancy's passing in 2013.
Tom proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1962, an experience that shaped his lifelong sense of duty and leadership. After his military service, he dedicated much of his professional life to Eaton Corporation and later to the Saginaw County Road Commission, as Manager and retired in 2000. Following retirement, Tom and Nancy relocated to Marco Island, where he continued to live an active, engaged life.
A proud veteran and community leader, Tom was a life member of numerous organizations, including the Michigan JCI Senate, VFW Posts 1566 and 7721, the Korean War Veterans Association, the American Legion Post 439, the American Motorcycle Association, the Order of the Eagles #496, Elks Lodge #2010, the Order of the Moose Lodge #3000, the Forney Club, and both the Paradise H.O.G. and Rockstar H.O.G. Chapters. He was also a past member of the Saginaw Club, the Saginaw Bay Yacht Club, the Pioneer Club, and the Michigan State Board of Foresters.
In 2016, Tom met Franee Lewis, and in October 2019, they began building a joyful life together, sharing love, laughter, and countless adventures. Tom had a passion for the open road, especially when riding his beloved Harley-Davidsons or cruising in his Corvette. He loved to travel and was never happier than when he was sharing stories - whether at a Happy Hour, or during a spontaneous roadside stop with friends in Florida and Michigan. A gifted and natural storyteller, Tom could hold a room with his humor, vivid details, and unforgettable delivery. He truly never met a stranger; his warmth and charm made everyone feel like an old friend, and his stories had a way of bringing people together wherever he went.
He is survived by his wife, Franee; daughter, Yvette (John) Battaglia; granddaughters Gina and Sophia Battaglia; siblings Colleen Iamurri, Robert Dowling (partner Julie Walker), Sandy (Dewey) Stevenson, Karen (Nick) Avlia, and Charles (Nancy) Beach; brother-in-law William (Sally) Morlik; sisters-in-law Rhonda Lilly, Nancy (Roger) McCall, and Rosie (Mark) Pagonis.
Tom was preceded in death by his wife Nancy, son Mark, parents Charles Beach and Florence "Sis" Dowling, stepmother Wahnetta Beach, stepfather Francis Dowling, brother-in-law Rick Iamurri, and his beloved cat, Tater.
He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and countless friends whose lives he touched with his kindness, generosity, and infectious spirit.
A celebration of Tom's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the
Alzheimer's Association, the ALS Association, or a veterans' organization of your choice in his honor.
Tom's legacy is one of love, loyalty, laughter, and a life well-lived. He will be deeply missed.
