Thomas R. Bournes

Thomas Robert "Tom" Bournes passed away on February 18, 2025, in Winter Park, Florida. Born on August 12, 1942, in Adrian, Michigan, Tom lived a life filled with passion for the Lord, family, sports, and the simple joys that brought him happiness.
Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Betty Bournes; son, Coby (Tammy) Garner; and his cherished grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Coty) Spray, Kayle Garner, and Tyler Garner, and the apple of his eye great granddaughter Rylee Spray. He is also survived by his brother, Patrick (Norma) Bournes. Tom was predeceased by their parents, Harold and Mary Janet Bournes; brother, Michael Bournes; and sister Susan Wimmer.
A devoted sports enthusiast, Tom found great joy in golfing and cheering for the Florida Gators across football, basketball, softball, and baseball. He also had a deep appreciation for car racing, spending countless hours enjoying the thrill of the sport. Most of all Tom loved being with his family.
A Funeral Mass will be held in Tom's honor on March 19, 2025, at Annunciation Catholic Church in Altamonte Springs, Florida. The service will begin at 10:00 AM. In tribute to Tom's love for the Florida Gators, attendees are encouraged to wear a Florida Gator shirt or an orange or blue shirt.

Tom's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his legacy bring comfort and inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to share in his life.
