Thomas Brennan, of Boston and formerly from Milton, passed away on July 25th, after a long illness. He was 77.

Tom was the oldest and loving son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Betty Duffy) Brennan. He is survived by his beloved siblings, Robert Brennan of Boston, John (Lisa) Brennan, and Catherine (Mike) Strider of California. Tom was preceded in death by his brother Paul Brennan, who passed away in May (see obituary link below). He was the admiring uncle of Christian Hurst, Ryan and Summer Brennan, and his grandnieces Lola and Selby Brennan and his grandnephew Duke Hurst.

A graduate of Milton High School and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Tom was an excellent athlete playing football, basketball and baseball. He was the quarterback at MHS and was inducted into the Milton High School Athletic Hall of Fame as a member of the 1963 football squad and Bay State League Champions. In his youth, he attended summer golf camp on the Cape and he had the honor and thrill to caddy for President Kennedy in 1963.

At UMass, he turned his talents and interests toward lacrosse, which he loved with a passion. After college, he traveled the United States and lived in Colorado and Florida, before returning to Massachusetts. Throughout his life he remained an avid sports fan of the Boston teams. In his spare time, Tom enjoyed skiing, golf, horse-racing and reggae music. His family will sorely miss Tom and his independent spirit and array of interests.
