Thomas W. "Tommy" Burrows III

Thomas "Tommy" W. Burrows III, 53, passed away peacefully in his home on October 15, 2022.
Tommy was born November 2, 1968, at Lakenheath Air Force Base, Norfolk England. Shortly after birth, Tommy relocated to Bluffton SC, where he became a staple to the community. Tommy inherited Tommy's Tire and Towing in 1980 and quickly became known for his shiny chrome wreckers and custom paint jobs. Tommy will forever be seen driving in his wrecker, windows down and waving at every person he passed.
On November 8, 2003, Tommy married his soulmate, Sally. Together, they raised 8 wonderful children, 10 grandchildren, and an infinite number of others they called their own. Tommy lived life in the fast lane, usually at a dirt track in some sort of race car. Always "wide open" he worked tirelessly creating the life he dreamed of. When he wasn't working at the shop or driving around the dirt track, you would find Tommy working in his yard, always making sure he had the most pristine grass and elaborate holiday displays. Tommy lived for his family and spent his free time camping with his children and grandchildren, duck hunting with the boys and always yelling "Go Dawgs".
Tommy is survived by his wife Sally Burrows; children Daniel Williams (Steffanie), Kayla Woodward (Joey), Joseph Burrows, Jessica Burrows, Kelsey Woodward (Jake), Jennifer Burrows, Taylor Burrows (Tyler), Jace Burrows, daughter in law Candis Williams; grandchildren Camden, Braylyn, Kayden, Katelyn, Blake, Joey, Walker, Kendra, Paisley, Parker; sister Brenda Stuckey-Mikell (JD); brother Jack Burrows (Elise);mother Patti Burrows; nephews Justin Stuckey (Kim), Jason Stuckey (Coryn)
He was preceded in death by his father Thomas W Burrows Jr and brother Ronald Bergin
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 18 2022 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton SC 29910. The family will welcome visitors from 2pm to 3pm, with the services immediately following.
Following the graveside service, a reception will be held at Messex Country Store. The family welcomes anyone who desires to pay their respects.
