Thomas Levi Burton Jr.

North Augusta, SC – Mr. Thomas Levi Burton, Jr., 66, entered into rest at his home on October 30, 2025. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday morning, November 4th, at 11 o'clock in the Posey Funeral Chapel with Dr. Paul W. Noe officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 10 until 11 o'clock.
Thomas was born on January 16, 1959, to the late Thomas Levi Burton and Dorothy Mae Milford Davis. He was raised in Augusta, GA, and made North Augusta his home for most of his life. Thomas retired as a manager from the Savannah River Site with 31 years of service. He had a vast mechanical skillset and knew how to fix anything. Thomas had an affinity for nature and was an avid outdoorsman. He found great joy and peace while hunting, fishing, gardening and thoroughly enjoyed his hobby of bee keeping. Thomas was known for his quick wit, sense of humor, and his lively storytelling.
In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by two siblings. Family members left to cherish his memory include his children, Bradley Burton (Jennifer), Rebecca Burton, Ali Burton (Brad Steinle), Annah Burton (John Cawley), and Timothy Burton (Brittany); eight grandchildren, Hayes Burton, Brooks Burton, Kinsley Burton, Caden Burton, Jack Cawley, Will Cawley, Avery Mize, and Jack Mize; his stepfather, Darrell Davis; and five siblings.
Pallbearers will be Timothy Burton, Bradley Burton, Perry Rider, Warren Seaborn, Matt Britt, and Britt Burton.
