Thomas Lee "Tommy" Byrd, 60, of Williams, passed away suddenly at his residence on Thursday, September 19, 2024. Born June 27, 1964, he was the son of James Byrd and Loretta (Tidd) Byrd. He married Jennifer White on February 11, 1983, and she survives.
Tommy was a laborer for the City of Bedford for over 35 years. He was of the Christian faith and was a former member of the Eagles. He enjoyed fishing, camping, telling dad jokes and dancing. Tommy especially loved spending time with his family. Tommy will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him.
Surviving to cherish the memory of Tommy is his wife, Jennifer; children, Josh Byrd and wife Bridgett, Jessica Byrd, Chad Byrd and wife Morgan, and Tyler Byrd and wife Tori; seven grandchildren, Brennan and Justice Ayers, Christopher and Owen Armour, Parker and Ellie Byrd and Brailee Byrd; and siblings, Doris, Linda, Judy, Bev, Barbara, Regina, Gary, Richard, Charles, Jerry and Troy.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, James and Loretta Byrd; one brother, Ronnie; and two sisters, Vicky and Mary.
Funeral services for Thomas Lee "Tommy" Byrd will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, September 27, 2024, at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford with Bro. Clarence Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Dive Cemetery. Visitation will also be held on Friday from 10:00am-1:00pm at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel.
