Tom Colvin of Leonia, NJ, passed away on October 13, 2025, at the age of 66. Born in Englewood, NJ, on May 27, 1959, he was the beloved son of Marilyn Finan Colvin and George Colvin.

Tom passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and close friends.

Tom was a loving brother to Terrie Birk and her husband Bob Birk, and to Bonnie Thorn and her husband John Thorn. He was also a dear uncle to Katie Thorn. He was fortunate to have many lifelong friends—bonds built on mutual love, loyalty, and years of shared memories. He also warmly welcomed new friendships along the way, always valuing connection and kindness in others.

A passionate student of history, Tom had a particular love for American history, with a special interest in the Civil War. An avid reader, he enjoyed diving deep into the stories and lessons of the past. He was also a devoted sports fan who faithfully cheered for the Yankees, the Rangers, and the Giants — teams that brought him great joy.

Tom was a dedicated advocate for organ donation and supported the New Jersey Sharing Network, striving to make a difference in the lives of others.

His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Visitation will be held on Monday October 20th from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home, 327 Main Street, Fort Lee, NJ “Opposite the Fort Lee Library”. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery in Englewood NJ.
