Kernersville – Mr. Thomas Ray Comer, Jr. passed away July 25, 2025, at his home. Thomas was born July 14, 1959, in Surry County to the late Thomas Ray Comer, Sr. and Carolyn Lipe Comer. Thomas attended the University of Texas at Austin studying business management. Thomas loved his community, volunteering and golfing. He treasured his many friends from childhood and loved sharing memories. Thomas could talk to anyone and make them feel comfortable, as if they were his close friends.
Surviving are his loving wife, Christine Guisewite Comer; one brother, John Comer; two stepsons, Hunter and Jarrod Brady; and many special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in-law.
A memorial service will be held 11 :00 AM Thursday, August 7, 2025, at The Fountain of Life Church with Pastor Elliot Lutz officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Fountain of Life Lutheran Church, 323 Hopkins Rd, Kernersville, NC 27284 or to the Next Step Ministries, 955 NC HWY 66, Kernersville, NC 27284.
