Thomas E. Coomer

Thomas E. Coomer, 92, of Austin, Indiana passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Clark Memorial Hospital, Jeffersonville, Indiana
Born September 30, 1931 in Athol, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Joe and Cerilda (Bryant) Coomer.
Thomas retired from Arvins in Seymour, Indiana after 20 years. After retiring he was hired as Superintendent at the Scott County Highway Department, where he worked for 21 years. He was a former School Board Member of Scott County School District 1, and a 50 year member of Scott Masonic Lodge 120.
Survivors include his wife of 73 years, Juanette (Couch) Coomer, son, Thomas J. Coomer of Austin, Indiana, three grandchildren, Jason (Stosha) Coomer, Justin (Crystal) Noble, and Shannon (David) Caudell, three sisters, Ida Heath, Geraldine Conn, and Patty Coomer, brother, Rufus Coomer, and 5 great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa Gayle Noble, great-grandson, Gunner Noble, daughter-in-law, Debbie Coomer, brother, Phillip Coomer, and a sister, Josephine Gross
Funeral Service: 12:00 Noon Friday, March 15, 2024 at Buchanan Funeral Home in Austin, Indiana with Rev. Gary Satterly officiating.
Visitation will be 10 am to 12 noon Friday at Buchanan Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Scottsburg Cemetery
