Thomas LaFayette Corbin, Jr., aged 77, passed away on December 18, 2025, at Lower Cape Fear LIfeCare in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Thomas served his country honorably in the United States Coast Guard, an experience that shaped his character and commitment to service. Following his military service, he dedicated his career to civil service as an electrical contractor, where his expertise and diligence left a lasting impact on his colleagues and community.
An avid outdoorsman, Thomas found joy in the simple pleasures of hunting and fishing. These pastimes provided him with solace and connection to nature throughout his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas L. and Norma Corbin; his sisters, Cindy Gaddy and Brenda Cratly; his son, Thomas L. Corbin III; and his partner, Gail Shepard.
Thomas is survived by his daughters, Jennifer C. Nash (Greg) and Crystal Mercer (Chuck); eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, brother Chris Corbin.
At this time, no services are planned.May he rest in peace, forever remembered for his devotion to family, country, and the great outdoors.
