Thomas Wayne Correll, II, 44, Peru, passed away at 1:58 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Community Howard Regional Health, Kokomo.
Born June 17, 1980, in Peru, Indiana, he was the son of Thomas Wayne and Lori Ann (See) Correll. On July 22, 2013, in Peru, Indiana, he was married to the former Chelsey Marie Lochner.
Tom graduated from North Miami High School in 1999. He was a heavy equipment operator for Star Excavating in Bippus, Indiana. He also worked with his dad at Correll Septic Service in Peru. Tom loved to sing and had an excellent tenor voice; he was also a very talented guitarist. Tom’s artistic skills were also exhibited in his meticulous art of pipe carving. He loved creating unique masterpieces with both his music and carving. He enjoyed motorcycles, watches, and things that could keep his hands busy.
Survivors include his wife, Chelsey M. Correll, Peru; two children, Sydney Yael Click; and Ainsley Rose Correll, both of Peru; grandson, Soren Edward Ault, Peru; parents, Tom and Lori Correll, Peru; and three sisters, Amy Correll, Peru; Amber (John) Waggoner, Peru; and April (Brad) Minch, Leo; grandmother, Geraldine Goodnight, Peru; father-in-law, Kevin L. Lochner, Wabash; mother-in-law, Pam Lochner, Peru; brother-in-law, Christopher B. Lochner, Wabash; sister-in-law, Hannah L. (Anthony) Heagy, North Manchester; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his son, Waylon Thomas Correll; grandparents, Jack and Betty Correll; and Donald Carver See; and step-grandfather, John Basil Goodnight, Sr.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Zion Chapel Church, Peru, with Pastor Rod Correll officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Cemetery, Denver.
Visitation from 3-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice, especially anything benefitting Kidney Disease or Autism.
