My deepest sympathy to the Couillard family and friends. Thom and I were close friends though elementary school and high school. I was just recently informed of Thom's passing and it saddened me deeply.
We were close friends through elementary and high school, and though separated by time and distance, I am sure we could pickup right where we left off - probably with some borderline, and unacceptable, behavior.
We shared a love for Triumph Spitfire sports cars - mine was green and his was blue. Those cars led to some adventures that should not appear in print. We were teammates in Little League and Babe Ruth League baseball, and on the midget football, Budd Lake Rams.
In high school, I always thought Thom's nickname should have been Slick. He carried himself with an edge, and had a self-confidence that I did not have in high school. I thought that he was cool, and the girls thought he was charming.
I could go on with some stories that would make for interesting reading, but I have rambled on too much already. It is just that Thom's passing opened the floodgates of memories. And, when we meet once more, we just might manage to have a few more adventures. He will always be in my thoughts and prayers.
I'm #41 and Thom is #28
