Retired United States Postal Service Letter Carrier Thomas Creegan, 78 peacefully passed away November 30th 2023, surrounded by his family.
Born March 25th 1945 in Ridgewood, Queens, son of the late William and Catherine Creegan, brother of the late Robert Creegan (Jean), John Creegan (Christine), the late Gloria Creegan.
Mr. Creegan attended St. Matthias Elementary and Grover Cleveland High School, both in Queens, NY, and proudly graduated from Staten Island Community College with a degree in accounting.
Mr. Creegan married the love of his life Patricia (nee O'Brien) on September 10th, 1966, and they eventually settled in New Dorp Beach, raising their four children.
Mr. Creegan was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service for thirty eight years, retiring in 2008.
Mr. Creegan enjoyed boating, golfing, toy trains, astronomy, going on cruises, and admiring airplanes flying overhead from the comfort of his backyard.
Mr. Creegan was a proud member of The Knights Of Columbus, Manresa Council, and parishioner of Our Lady Of Lourdes, both in New Dorp Beach.
Mr. Creegan is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 57 years Patricia, his four children, Cheriann Tufaro, Dawnmarie Creegan, Thomas Creegan Jr, Patricia Greaux, sons-in-law Eugene Tufaro Jr, Roy Greaux, daughter-in-law Dawn Townley-Creegan, his grandchildren Kelliann Pompa (Don), Eugene Tufaro III, Robert Tufaro, Stephanie Tufaro-Gumb (Harold), Lily Creegan, Melissa Greaux, London Creegan, Joaquin Torres, Violet Creegan, his great grandchildren: Nicholas Creegan, Dominic Pompa, Luke Pompa, Robert Tufaro Jr, Autumn Pompa, Jessica Clancy, James Farrell, Johnny Tufaro, Taylor Tufaro, Sophia Bosco
Visitation will be on Sunday and Monday, December 3rd and 4th, from 2pm - 4pm and 7pm - 9pm at Hanley Funeral Home, 60 New Dorp Lane, Staten Island, NY.
A Mass Of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday December 5th at Our Lady Queen Of Peace Church, 61 New Dorp Lane, Staten Island, NY.
