Thomas Joseph DeYoung Jr. of Somerville, MA, died April 18, 2025.
Beloved Spouse of the late George C. Chinetti. He was also predeceased by his parents Corinne M. Galli and Thomas J. DeYoung Sr. as well as his sister Phyllis Sinclair and her husband Ralph and his nephew Ralph Sinclair Jr. He is survived by his niece Lynda Savlen and her husband James of Somerville, MA, his nephew Thomas Sinclair and his wife Cathy of Pepperell, MA as well as other beloved nephews, grandnieces grandnephews and close friends, especially his dear friend and partner Ed Rapazzini of Milton MA.
Tom was born in Cambridge, he was a 1968 graduate of Northeastern University and was a patron of the Jesuit Urban Center – Boston.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Tom on Thursday May 1st at 11am at St. Margaret Mary Church in Westwood. Interment is private.
Arrangements by the Holden, Dunn & Lawler Funeral Home, Westwood.
There will be a Mass held in the Fall at St. Cecelia’s in Boston where he was an active member, and it will be followed by a celebration of life ceremony which will be announced at a later date.
