Thomas Edward Dickerson

Hubert- Thomas Edward Dickerson, 82, passed away at his home on Thursday, December 25,2025 with his family by his side. He was born December 30,1942 in Washington, DC, a son of the late Leslie and Elva Mauck Dickerson.

A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, December 30,2025 at 11:00 am at Bear Creek Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. He will be inurned at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery on Friday, January 2, 2026 at 12:00PM..

Thomas faithfully served his country in the United States Marine Corps and then served in civil service. He loved attending Bear Creek Baptist Church. He faithfully taught a Bible study in his home for 18 years and loved to share his love of Jesus with his family and friends.

He is survived by his sister Marge McNulty of CA and children: Timothy Allen Dickerson (Cheryl) of NJ, Elva Mae Barrick (Brian) of AR, Tracy Jones (Berry) of Jacksonville, NC, Curtis Richardson of Hubert, NC, Patricia Burmeister of LA and Nicky Krajacic of Peletier, NC; 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Dickerson, daughter, Bonnie Hammond, grandson, Ryan, granddaughter, Stephanie, and sisters, Evelyn Moss and Rebecca Dickerson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project or a charity of one's choice.
