Tommy Dixon, 75, of Macon, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026. His family will host a Celebration of Life at Pam and Buster Dixon’s home on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Please call Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel for more details. In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations in his memory be made to Atlanta Lab Rescue.
Thomas Wyman Dixon was born November 17, 1950, in Milledgeville, Georgia to the late Sadie Kilgore and Wyman Carswell Dixon. He dutifully served his country in the United States Army as a young man. He met his wife, Linda, in 1973 and the pair were soon wed. He built a career as a licensed plumber and worked with Pyles until 1984 before owning and operating his own business, Tommy Dixon Plumbing, for more than three decades.
Tommy was a bright spirit with a penchant to party. He loved to dance, to laugh, and to make others smile. He could often be found outdoors, whether starting his day hunting and fishing or closing it out with an ice-cold Bud Light. The family lake house is home to countless memories throughout the years and was one of Tommy’s favorite places. His family, especially his grandchildren, were very important to him and will certainly miss him dearly. He always loved and took care of “them babies”.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Wyman and Sadie Dixon. He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Epps Dixon; his son, Travis Dixon (Jennifer); and grandchildren, Ava and Sophie Dixon. Additionally, his siblings, Faye Darsey; Elton Dixon; Vicki Dixon; Patty Harris; Donna Dixon; and Buster Dixon (Pam); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
