In loving memory of Thomas D. Doerner
January 24, 1964 - February 26, 2025
Beloved son, brother and best friend to all he met, Tom passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.
Predeceased by his parents Don and Anne Doerner. Tom is survived by his daughters, Paige (Chris) Engard & Payton Doerner; brothers, Carl, Michael (Lisa) and sister, Teresa Doerner Daddis; nieces and nephews, Jacylin, Leah (Jakob) Rohwer, Paul (Rachel) Doerner, Zach Daddis, and Alex Daddis; great niece, Leanne; aunt, Jane Tschiderer; many cousins, his Charlotte Appliance family and many friends.
Tom grew up in Greece, NY, the third of four children of Don and Anne Doerner, playing every sport he could. He graduated from Greece Arcadia High School, attended SUNY Fredonia and Monroe Community College and started selling appliances at Silo and then Charlotte Appliance. Many met Tom through his work at Charlotte Appliance where he worked for 35 years. He loved the Charlotte area, going down to Ontario State Park looking at the water while enjoying a burger, watching basketball and playing pool with his friends at The Woodshed.
Tom will be remembered for his big smile, his easy going manner, his sense of humor, his laugh and will be sadly missed by all.
The family would like to personally thank the Agostinelli family, all the friends who called and visited, the doctors and nurses at Unity Hospital ER and ICU for the exceptional kindness and care given to Tom.
A Celebration of Tom’s life will be held on Thursday, March 6th at 10:30 am at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, 5000 Mt. Read Blvd., Rochester, NY, 14612.
Contributions in Tom's memory may be made to The American Cancer Society.
