Chris was a member of the Operating Engineers Union Local 181.
Chris is preceded in death by his grandfather, James Manning; grandparents, Ron and Darlene Doerner; uncles, Keith Manning and Mark Doerner; and aunt, Sherry Green.
He is survived his parents Brett and Debra (Manning) Doerner; wife, Jacki; children, Christopher R. Doerner, Tori Doerner, and Spencer Cannon; grandkids, Apollo and Abrye Doerner; grandmother. Pansy Manning; siblings Brittney (Ben) Overfield, Brooke (Kaleb) Nossett, and Colton Doerner; aunts and uncles, Steve (Kathy) Manning, Vickie (Rick) Hutchinson, Wayne (Leslie) Manning, and Mike Doerner; nieces and nephews, Weston, Wyatt, Bella Overfield, Owen, Gunner, Kimber Nossett, Raelyn and River Doerner; and several cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. CST with funeral service to begin at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Townsley Cemetery in Mackey, Indiana.
