Thomas Doner Obituary
Mr. Doner was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and received his BS, Med and EDS degrees from Auburn University. He served the DeKalb County, Georgia school system as a principal for twenty-five years. He was a former President of the Georgia Elementary Principals Association and as Chairman of the Southeastern Elementary Principals. After retirement he worked at Mystery Valley and Bent Tree golf courses. Moving to Arizona he served the Arizona State Park System with over 6,000 volunteer hours. He also served as a volunteer at the Georgia National Cemetery with over 10,000 volunteer hours.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jayette Blom. Thomas is survived by his son, Scott Doner; daughters, Kim Dicus (John), Sharon Simons (Richard), Amy Leathers (Craig), Laura Blom and Andrea Edwards; grandchildren, Robert Doner (Julie), Hannah Leathers, Sadie Leathers and Carl Leathers; great-grandchildren, Isaac Doner and Annabeth Doner.
Services will be held at the Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA, along with military honors on Monday, September 2, 2024 at 9:00 a.m.

The last time I saw him was at the assisted living facility along with his family. I miss him so much. He was a dear friend and companion to me working in the pic building and always give me positive energy.
