Rev. Thomas Hall "Tommy" Doster

Rev. Thomas "Tommy" Hall Doster passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Joyce Doster; step-daughter, Connie Finn; step-sons, David and Robert Everett; step-granddaughters, Heather and Stephanie Everett; parents, Roy and Nell Doster; sisters, Martha Thrasher and Sandra Christian.

He is survived by his son, Mark (Shannon) Doster of Hoschton, GA; daughter, Stacy (Neil) Miller of Commerce, GA; grandchildren, Jacob Doster, Sara Doster, Hannah Stone, Chelsea Harris, T.J. Miller, Tiffany Miller, Jordan Miller, Jackson Miller, Lisa Ayers, Dana Gaddy and Victoria Everett; 25 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Rev. Doster was born August 13, 1942 in Atlanta, GA. He was a 1961 graduate of Buford High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Airforce and retired from the U.S. Government and McKesson Pharmaceuticals.

He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church, Maysville, GA, and formerly a member of Liberty Baptist Church, Buford, GA. Rev. Doster was a licensed Baptist preacher who loved the Lord and his family very deeply. He enjoyed watching The Andy Griffith Show and could quote most episodes by heart.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2026 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA, with Rev. David Martin and Rev. Farrell Wilkins officiating. Interment with Graveside Service will follow at 5:00 p.m. at Riverside Baptist Church Cemetery, Maysville, GA. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 2, 2025 from 12 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
