Beloved husband of 24 years to Kathleen Downes; loving father of Erica (Steve) Shula, Mike (Jen) Eichorst, TJ Eichorst (Amy Wolf) and the late Theresa; cherished stepfather of Tony (Robin) Peluso, and David (Jennifer) Peluso; dearest grandfather of Scott, Grace and Lillian Shula; Ben and Emma Eichorst and Carson and Graham Eichorst; dear step-grandfather of Ian, Vincent, Lilianna, Dominic, Gianna, Alessandra, & Parker; and fond brother of John, Charles and the late Donald Eichorst.
A Memorial Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, August 14th at Elmhurst Community Funeral Home – THE AHLGRIM CHAPEL, 567 S. Spring Road, Elmhurst. A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be written to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Cathy and Family
I had the pleasure of meeting Tom through my brother Bill
Had some great road trips on our motorcycles. One in particular came to mind on hearing of Tom´s passing. Our road trip to Sturgish SD and standing in the rain with our rain gear on and Tom´s pants were ripped from crotch to ankle. We were all getting a good laugh about that

Tom was a great coworker in the Financial Division at Signode and all-around great guy. I was heartbroken to hear of his passing. My condolences to Kathy and all of the family.

I knew Tom from a very young age. My brother's Mark & Kim were very close with the boys, especially Tom & Don. They were great & I have many fond memories of them. My sympathies at the loss of a truly lovely man.

We´re out of town and just received a text from another Mitchell Ave neighbor telling us of Tom´s passing. Very sad news to read. Our condolences to all his family especially Cathy. Gods Speed Tom.
