Thomas Richard Emerson

Thomas Richard Emerson, age 66 of Lemont, passed away November 24, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Beloved father of Anne (Joe) Nee and Thomas (Jessica) Emerson; Devoted son of the late Thomas and Mary Lou (nee Loeber) Emerson; Proud grandpa of Grace, Joey, Lillie, and Maggie Nee, Tommy, Noah, Rylee, and the late Mikey Emerson; Cherished brother of Cheryl (William) Frost, Susan (late Robert) Malatt, Jack (Noreen) Emerson, and Janet (Vince) Zawaski; Fond uncle, cousin, and friend to many. A very special thanks to his caregiver Betty Budz. Thomas was a proud graduate of Brother Rice High School and St. Joseph College in Rensselaer, Indiana. Thomas was diagnosed in 1977 with multiple sclerosis when there was no cure or medication to slow the progression of the disease. Tom accepted his illness and lived his life with dignity and courage. He raised awareness by fundraising for many years.
