Thomas M. Ephgrave, Jr., known with affection to all as Tom, has been called to the Lord on the 24th of August 2025. Born in the city of Chicago, Illinois, on the 21st of May, 1942, Tom's journey through life was a testament to his unyielding spirit and unwavering faith. In town of Lilburn, GA, he drew his last breath, at his home after a long battle with cancer.

Tom's journey through life was one marked by devotion, laughter, and an optimism that touched all who knew him. Tom's life was woven with love of his cherished family. His beloved wife, Julie Ephgrave stood steadfast by his side, a partnership of grace and devotion. Together, they raised a family that was his pride and joy: Lisa, his caring daughter; Thomas the third his namesake and son, along with his wife Denise Giametta Ephgrave; Matthew Michael and Andrew James, his sons who inherited his strength and compassion. Tom's legacy extends further with his grandsons, Thomas Joseph, Tyler James and Jason Tanner Ephgrave, each a star in his life.

A alumnus of Northern Illinois University School of Business, Tom's acumen and leadership shown brightly as he rose to the role of President and CEO of Martin Engineering. His professional life was marked by integrity and hard work, inspiring those around him. A veteran of the Air Force Tom served his country with honor embodying the virtues of loyalty and commitment that he carried into every aspect of his life. Tom's faith was the cornerstone of his existence a devout Christian, he was an active member of Str. Stephen's Catholic Church, where his faith flourished and nourished those around him. His love for the Almighty was unlimited, and he shared his love through deeds and words that echoed with the teachings of Christ. His interests were diverse. An avid fan of the Atlanta Braves, Tom's enthusiasm for America's pastime was infectious and his love for cars was well known. Tom was a DIY type of guy. There was no challenge too great, no puzzles too complex for his skilled hands and keen mind. Tom was a man of laughter, intelligence, and optimism. His humor was enjoyed by everyone who knew him, his intelligence a source of wisdom, and his optimism guided him through life's storms. His presence and humor was source of comfort and enjoyment to his family and friends.

As we bid farewell to Tom, we do so with hearts full of gratitude for the time we had with him. He has departed from our sight but never from our hearts. His spirit, a force of love and laughter shall continue to guide us throughout our lives. We rejoice in the knowledge that he rests now with the Lord's, a faithful servant welcomed home.
