Thomas Finney Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pitman Funeral Homes & Cremation Services - Wentzville Chapel on Jan. 10, 2026.
Thomas Michael "Mike" Finney passed away sleeping peacefully next to his beloved wife Deborah Finney on Wednesday January 7th 2026. Mike was a devoted husband, father, papaw, brother, uncle, friend, and son. Those that knew him the best knew how truly kindhearted, giving, and accepting he was of all those he loved. Mike loved many things, but above all else he loved his family and his faith. Nothing came before family and God. Mike married his best friend Deborah on July 30th 1994, and in those beautiful 31 years of marriage they raised six children together. There were no restrictions on the love they showered everyone around them with. He gave freely and fully to every aspect of his life, and worked tirelessly to provide for the family he loved so dearly. Mike poured his heart into everything he did. Whether it was family, work, collecting stamps or trains, building models, 3D printing, fishing, or fixing anything that needed fixing. He was always there to lend a listening ear or a helping hand. Now his journey on earth has come to an end, and his eternal journey in heaven has begun.

He is survived by his beloved wife Deborah Finney. His children Holly Finney (Jamie Ritchie), Christianna Smallwood (Daniel Smallwood), Hunter Finney, Kylie Finney (Tommy Lewarne), Chelsea Gibson (Karl Frank), and Torri Valentine. His grandchildren Makenzie Davis, Joel Sipe, Aiden Sipe, Magdalena Smallwood, and Easton Ritchie. His mother Shirley Finney His siblings Stachia Myers (Todd Myers), Tyne Horton (Jason Horton), Steve (Angie Finney), and Amber Finney-Hiser (Bill Hiser). He's preceded in death by his father Thomas E. Finney, and his sister Jodi Finney.
