Thomas Gaidosh Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Coastal Cremations and Funeral Care - Lutz Chapel on Jan. 26, 2026.
Thomas John Gaidosh (66) formerly of Pittsburgh, PA passed away January 21, 2026 in Lutz, FL. Born September 12, 1959, the son of Thomas and Dolores Gaidosh. Tom was preceded in death by his loving parents, Tom and Dolores (Nohavicka) Gaidosh and maternal grandparents John and Mary Nohavicka and paternal grandmother Mary Gaidosh Contrella.

Tom leaves behind two loving, caring and attentive daughters, both of Land O' Lakes, FL. Haley (Michael) Hettinga and Hannah Gaidosh. Granddaughter Harper, a joy in Tom's life, will miss Pap's visits. Tom also leaves behind his "favorite" sister Pam (Gaidosh) Moot and brother-in-law Mr.Bill. He will be missed by former wife and dear friend Beverly Gaidosh.

Tom was a 1977 graduate of Yough High School in Herminie, PA where he excelled in baseball and football. Tom also attended California State University in Pennsylvania. Tom dedicated much of his career to his role as Freight Team Associate at Home Depot in Pittsburgh, PA for 26 years. He then transferred to Home Depot in New Port Richey, FL where he moved in September of 2024 to be close to his daughters and granddaughter. His strong work ethic and commitment to his responsibilities were evident to all who worked with him.

Beyond his professional life, Tom cherished his family above all else and found immense joy in spending time with his loved ones. He was a devoted father and grandfather, always putting family first. Tom followed in his "Pap's" (John Nohavicka) footsteps and was an avid Steeler fan which he passed on to Haley and Hannah. Going to the Steeler games was a family affair and football Sundays were always very special days. Tom absolutely loved the beach, sunshine and warm weather. The beach was his favorite place to be in addition to the pool which he is also referred to as "the beach" because it was his paradise in his backyard.

Tom's life will be celebrated with a funeral Mass, to be scheduled for a later date in February. In this time of mourning, we remember Tom not only for the life he lived but for the love he shared with everyone he touched. His gentle soul and unwavering love for his family will continue to inspire those who knew him. Tom, you will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
