Thomas Gates Obituary
Born on May 24, 1940, in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Dr. Lionel and Mary (Ryan) Gates.
He was retired from the Commonwealth of PA Treasury Department as an auditor.
Tom was a member of the Cathedral Parish of St. Patrick, Harrisburg, where he served as a lector. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council #8921 and the Serra Club of Harrisburg.
Surviving is his brother, William R. Gates and his wife, Angeline of Watsontown, 3 nephews, a great niece, and a great nephew. He was preceded in death by a sister, Karen M. Gates.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, November 28, 2022, at the Cathedral Parish of St. Patrick, 212 State Street, Harrisburg, PA 17101. Burial will be in St. Edward's Catholic Cemetery, Shamokin, PA.
Viewing will be from 9:00 A.M. – 10:00 A.M. on Monday, November 28, 2022, at the church.
