Thomas T. Gierke (February 18, 1972 – May 6, 2025)
Thomas T. Gierke, age 53, of Menasha, left this earth and entered his heavenly home on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, with his loving family by his side.
Tom was an extremely intelligent and social man with a passion for helping others and a strong work ethic. The work he did (helping others with disabilities find the services they needed) was a perfect fit for him and he loved his job. Tom was also very sociable and loved getting out and about. He was active with My Team Triumph, Family Life Wisconsin, and did motivational speaking as well as serving as a mentor to many. He loved to decorate their home to coordinate with holidays and changing seasons. He was also mechanically inclined and could troubleshoot almost any problem to a successful end. He loved the Lord and his family and was an inspiration to everyone he met.
Tom is survived by the love of his life, Jana and son Zane (Chelsea) Smith and new grandson Colton; his mother Carol Gierke; brothers and sister: Jeff (Lori) Gierke, Mark (Barb) Gierke, Tim Gierke, and Theresa (Craig) Lyon; two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law: Bill (Ann) Herron, Launce (Andrea) Herron, and Juanna (Brad) Parker. Tom is further survived by nieces, nephews and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Norman, his brother Daniel and his mother and father-in-law, Edward and Janice Herron.
Visitation will be on Sunday, May 11th at Westgor Funeral Home at 1140 Appleton Road in Menasha from 6:00-7:00 p.m. and again on Monday, May 12th at Christ The Rock Community Church at W6254 US Highway 10-114 in Menasha from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at Noon. Burial will follow at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in Kiel.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the many friends who helped Tom over the years along with ThedaCare Regional Hospital Neenah ICU staff. Your care for him was a gift from God.
