Thomas P. Glacken, 85 passed away on March 3, 2025. He was born and raised in Scranton and was the son of the late John and Mary (Mellody) Glacken. Tom graduated from Central High School and earned a Bachelors Degree from the University of Scranton and a Masters Degree in Social Work from Marywood College. He served as the Superintendent at Farview State Hospital for many years and before retiring as the Superintendent at Clarks Summit State Hospital.

Tom always put his family first! He was the youngest of four sons and preceded in death by his brothers Gerard, John and Jerome Glacken. He is survived by Kevin Searfoss who was like a son and his children Madison and James, as well as Beverly Glacken (Sister-in-Law) and many nieces, nephews, great nieces/nephews and cousins. Tom enjoyed traveling, cooking, a good book, and in his younger days hosted many great parties at his house enjoyed by his family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 29th at 10am at Mary Mother of God Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 316 William Street, Scranton. Internment in Cathedral Cemetery will be private. Family and Friends can pay their respects in the church Saturday morning from 9am until the time of Mass.

Memorial Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to in Tom's name to Holy Rosary Church.
