Thomas Glowack

THOMAS BENJAMIN GLOWACK Thomas Benjamin Glowack was born on February 14, 1939, in International Falls, MN, the son of Benjamin and Lois (Soboleski) Glowack. After high school Thomas enlisted in the United States Navy where he served from 1957-1961. He was a proud member of the USS Bon Homme Richard CVA-31. Thomas was united in marriage to Jacqueline Marie Lisowski. They made their home in International Falls. Thomas worked for the International Falls Police Department, where he served the community as police captain for many years. Thomas was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in International Falls, the Knights of Columbus, Elks Lodge #1599, Whisk Club, retired cops Tuesday and Friday morning coffee club, Cross River Shack Community, and Wood Workers Union #33. Thomas had the biggest heart and was genuinely compassionate to everyone he met. Though he didn't have any children of his own, there were many of us that considered him "Dad". Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Lois Glowack; mother-in-law, Annette Lisowski; father-in-law, Jack Lisowski, many uncles and aunts; and too many friends to mention. Thomas is survived by his wife Jackie Glowack; brother, Jim (Rainy) Glowack; nephews, Michael (Lisa) Glowack and Marc (Rachel) Glowack; nieces, Marijo (Marlin) Witte and Michelle (Tom) Montgomery; nine great-nephews; three great-nieces; three great-great-nephews; and three great-great-nieces; special family, Dick and Taffy Walls and their children, Terri (Kevin) Nagurski, Kelly (Kevin) Gordon, Billy (Karen) Walls, and Eric (Sandi) Walls A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in International Falls. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Elks Kids Camp or St. Thomas Catholic School.
