Thomas W. "Tom" Haley

Thomas W. Haley, 64, of Oneida, passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at St. Elizabeth's Healthcare in Utica after being stricken at home.

He was born on January 22, 1957, in Oneida, the son of Joel B. and Leona M. Theall Haley, Sr. Tom was a graduate of Oneida High School, Class of 1976.

Tom was employed as an auto detailer for NYE Ford for many years, retiring in 2018. Tom also sold real estate of Hunt Real Estate for several years. He was also a parking attendant for Eddie's Restaurant in Sylvan Beach.

A lifelong resident of Oneida and of the catholic faith, Tom was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church. Tom was a former member of the Knights of Columbus E. Bart Hanifin Council 473 and an integral part of the Haley Brother's meatloaf dinner.

Tom enjoyed fishing and watching NASCAR. He loved spending time with family and had a very infectious sense of humor.

Surviving are three children, Jill (Marco) Rodegher, of Oneida, Matt (Valerie) Haley, of Sherrill, and Sarah (James) Hines, of Oneida; five grandchildren, Kiersten, Madeline, Kaitlyn, Haley, Wakely, and one expected in the next few weeks; three sisters, Margaret Wills, of Swananoa, NC, Virginia Miller, of Bronson, FL, Veronica Dale, of Canastota; seven brothers, Joel B. Haley, Jr., of Rome, Paul J. (Betsy) Haley, of Sherrill, Christopher J. Haley, of Irondequoit, David F. (Laurel) Haley, of Oneida, Peter M. (Carolyn) Haley, of Bronson, FL, Stephen A. (Eileen) Haley, of Oneida, and Richard V. (Paula) Haley, of Oneida; a brother-in-law, Michael Lemmens, of Las Vegas, NV; the mother of his children, Linda Mattei, of Canastota; his former wife, Jackie Haley, of Oneida; and many nieces and nephews. Tom was predeceased by a brother, Michael G. Haley; a sister, Theresa Lemmens; and a brother-in-law, Larry Miller.
