Thomas (Tom) Keith Hamme was born to Edwin and Violet Hamme on March 29, 1947, in Omaha, Nebraska, and departed this life January 20, 2025, in Kimberling City, Missouri.
Tom is survived by his wife, Maureen, whom he met in high school; they have been together ever since, married for 59+ years. Other survivors include daughter, Christine (Christopher) Parker; son, Ron (Krisha) Hamme; grandchildren: Joey (Lauren) Mendel, Emily (Kristopher) Cherry, Nikki Hamme, and Chase Hamme; great-grandson, Lucas Lee Cherry; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Buzzy, June, Marie, Alice, and Julie.
Tom spent twenty years with the Union Pacific Railroad Headquarters in Omaha. In 1986 he and Maureen moved to Kimberling City where he embarked on his second career involving real estate brokering/sales, development, and construction.
Tom and his business partner developed Forest Park Subdivision as well as Deer Park Subdivision in Stone County. Tom built numerous homes and commercial properties in Kimberling City and surrounding areas.
Golfing, fishing, boating, traveling, and playing cards were some of Tom's favorite activities. On January 8, 2019, Tom had a hole-in-one at Fairhope, Alabama! Tom thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family; his grandchildren were the light of his life. We will miss him dearly; he was the absolute best! Our hearts are broken.
A Celebration of Life Mass will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, with Rosary at 9:30 a.m. and Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Cove, 20 Kimberling Blvd, Kimberling City, Missouri. The Mass will be celebrated by Fr. J. Friedel, Fr. Mark Binder will concelebrate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Tom's name to Compassus Hospice, Branson (www.compassus.com/about-us/giving-and-donations) (Special thanks to Michelle and Sandy) or The Kitchen (Emergency Center for homeless) (www. thekitcheninc.org) Springfield, Missouri.
