Thomas Chilton Hampton III

Thomas Chilton Hampton III, of Catoosa, Oklahoma, passed away at his home on Monday, October 20, 2025. He was born on March 23, 1962, at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, Kansas to Thomas Chilton Hampton, Jr. and Martha Ann Miller.

A proud member of the Cherokee Nation, Thomas carried his heritage with deep with respect and quiet strength throughout his life. He grew up with a strong work ethic and an enduring curiosity for how things worked - qualities that guided him in both his career and personal life.

Thomas earned various degrees before pursuing a career as a machinist and in the oil and pipeline industry and as a mechanic of all things. Known for his precision, skill, and dedication, he was deeply respected by his colleagues and friends.

He made his home in Catoosa, Oklahoma where he enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and the company of family and friends. Thomas will be remembered for his unadulterated kindness, his steadfast spirit, and his unwavering loyalty to those he loved. Thomas's life was a testament to hard work, integrity, and pure kindness - qualities that will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Thomas is preceded in death by his Mother Martha Ann Miller; Father Thomas Chilton Hampton, Jr.; his Uncle's Charles, Jim, Jack, Millard and many more.

Thomas is survived by his wife of 42 years Valarie Elizabeth Hampton of the home; Sister Diana Deniese Hampton; His Children Jesse Allen Hampton, Nicholas Shane Melko, Kristina Marie Fregene, Sara Danielle Hill, Jessica Danielle Sparger, and Michael Christian Hampton, Their spouses Krista Perrier, Gold Fregene, Colton Hill and Michael Sparger and numerous grandchildren and even more family and friends.

Thomas's Celebration of Life Family Visitation to greet friends will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025 from 10:00-11:00am at Piney Baptist Church, 15630 E. 450 Rd., Jay, OK 74346.

Thomas's Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, 11:00am, October 23, 2025 at Piney Baptist Church, 15630 E. 450 Rd., Jay, OK 74346 to celebrate his life and legacy along with Pastor Jess Jones, Jr. officiating. Followed by Thomas's funeral procession to Piney Cemetery, Jay, OK.

Thomas's burial will be held at Piney Cemetery, Jay, OK. There will be a potluck lunch at Piney Baptist Church to follow.
