Thomas Harriott Obituary

Thomas L. Harriott, 85, of Cedar Rapids, passed away, Sunday, February 2, 2025. A Private Graveside Service will be held at Campbell Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is assisting the family. Tom was born on July 11, 1939, in Cedar Rapids, IA, the son of Edward and Thelma Harriott. He graduated from Wilson High School in Cedar Rapids in 1957. Tom was united in marriage to Marlys Vestal on January 21, 1962. Tom worked for Iowa Electric, retiring as a Line Foreman in 1995. Tom & Marlys enjoyed spending time in Guttenberg, Iowa at their cabin and traveling. He enjoyed fishing and attending his grandchildren's activities and events. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marlys in 2018; and brother, Edward Harriott. Survivors include his sons, Jim (Kathy) Harriott and Chuck (Ronda) Harriott all of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, Kalli (Austin) Pavlicek, Jacob (Emily), Bradley, Nicholas (Emily) and Madison; great-granddaughter, Ellyson Pavlicek; and furry family members, Annie, Boomer, Jack, and Laker.
