Sylvia Harriott Obituary
Born on June 20, 1966, in Spanish Town, Jamaica, Sylvia was the cherished daughter of Pearl (Kemp) Clarke of England and the late Leslie Harriott. She was educated in Jamaica and dedicated much of her life to caring for others as a devoted home health aide in the medical field.
Sylvia's life was rooted in faith, love, and family. She was a woman of strong Christian values who found joy in life's simple pleasures - cooking her favorite dishes, tending to her garden, and beautifully decorating her home. She brought warmth, laughter, and comfort to every space she entered.
Above all, Sylvia's greatest joy was her family. She deeply treasured the time spent with her beloved companion, children, grandchildren, and those dearest to her. Her nurturing heart, radiant smile, and unwavering strength will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her mother, Pearl Clarke; her loving companion, Balford Walton of Pocono Summit; her sons, Kevin Harriott of Dumfries, Virginia, and Kadeem A. Harriott and his fiancée, Belinda Torres of Long Pond; her daughters, Krystal Walton and Khamorah Walton, both of Pocono Summit; her stepson, Romaine Walton, also of Pocono Summit; her sister, Kim Butts of Kissimmee, Florida; and her brother, Donovan Harriott and his wife, Barbara, also of Kissimmee, Florida. Sylvia's legacy will forever live on through her cherished grandchildren - Nevaeh, Mia, Kaiden, Karter, Amari, and Nola - along with many loving extended family members and dear friends.
A memorial service celebrating Sylvia's life will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Yanac Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc., 35 Sterling Road, Mount Pocono. Family and friends are invited to gather from 12:00 PM until the time of service to honor and remember her beautiful life.

As her former supervisor at SUNY Downstate, Sylvia will remain a treasure in my heart. Exemplary, she always extend herself by going above and beyond the call of duty to get the job done well. I lost a friend, a confident, a hard and dedicated worker, a caring soul.
My heartfelt condolences to the entire family. May lord gives you comfort strength and peace in the days ahead.
