Thomas Hudock Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Doherty Funeral Homes, Inc. - Pike Creek on Jan. 18, 2025.
Thomas Joseph Hudock, 67, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away on January 16th, 2025. Born on March 20th, 1957, he was a devoted husband to his wife, Michele, a loving father to his children, Rileigh, Christine, and Brian, as well as an integral part in the lives of his granddaughters, Emery and Haley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Elizabeth Hudock, and his sister, Ellen Elliott.
He was hard-working and dedicated in every aspect of his life. After spending many years as a machinist for Siemens, he later transitioned to a role in the Red Clay School District, where he helped in the transportation department. Despite his many roles, he always made time for his family and passions, mainly including Philadelphia sports. GO BIRDS!
His hobbies and interests defined who he was; a lover of adventure, baseball, and the beach, who always had to have a plan in place and would go along with just about anything if it involved a cold beer. He often spent his weekends golfing with friends and watching sports. If there was one thing to note about Tommy, it was that he could figure out how to navigate the channel changer in just about anyone's home.
Tommy was a man of great qualities, including his unwavering generosity, integrity, and devotion. He was a committed husband, a loving father and grandfather, a loyal friend, and an incredibly stubborn and passionate coach. He left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him and couldn't go anywhere without seeing someone familiar.
Tom is survived by his wife, Michele; his children, Rileigh, Christine, and Brian; his granddaughters, Emery and Haley; and his sister and brother in law, Marsie and Robert Zimny; his brother in law, Reds Elliott; and nieces, Caitlin and Alison. He will be deeply missed by his many beloved friends and extended family members.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, January 24th, 2025 from 9AM-11AM at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808. A funeral service will begin at 11AM.

I worked with Tom at Red Clay for eight years. Every Friday I would stop in his office and catch up with him. There was only one subject I steered clear of with Tom..... politics. There were two things we talked about the most, his retirement and spending time with his family. His face would light up with a smile when he talked about spending time with his children and grandchildren. I'll miss our Friday's. Ken OBrien

I worked with Tommy and Michelle at Dade Behring and Siemens from 2003 to 2016. It was really incredible to see that much talent and dedication working together and truly caring about each other. Very rare now a days and so grateful for the experience. With love, Bernie.

I first met Tommy coaching in Little League. He was a fiery coach - all kids loved him. Brian & my son Michael played on St Marks 1999 State Baseball Team. He was the pitcher & Mike was the catcher.
Tommy was an unbelievable Machinist he could make anything out of metal , wood or plastic. When you needed something special made - Tommy was the go to.
You always knew when He was around, his voice stood out. He left to soon.
All our prayers for Michele & Family.
Love Pete & Dary.
