Carthage—Thomas Jackson, age 63, of Boyd Rd., passed away peacefully on Monday, March 16, 2026, under the care of his loving family and Hospice of Jefferson County.
In keeping with his wishes, services will be held privately by his family.
Thomas was born on November 19, 1962, to George Wilfred and Velma Violet (Simmons) Jackson. He was a graduate of Beaver River Central School and married Elizabeth Stenoski on May 16, 1986. A skilled and dedicated carpenter, he was employed by Farney’s Lumber for many years.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Jackson of Carthage; his children, Lamanda Jackson and her companion, James Hanson, of Carthage, and Stephen Camidge and his fiancé, Daleena Locy, of Carthage. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Gabrielle (Conner) Comfort and Trevor Cook, Angaleena Mayne, and his great-grandchildren, Hope, Luna, and Jackson Comfort.
Thomas is further survived by his siblings, Elizabeth Zehr of Belfort, NY, and Larry Jackson of Fairfield, California.
He was predeceased by his parents; his son, Michael Stenoski; and his siblings, Francis Jackson, Connie Rennie, and Albert Jackson.
Thomas enjoyed fishing, camping, playing cards and games, carpentry, gardening, and taking scenic rides. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family.
