Thomas F. Jobin, 82, of Avon, formerly of Bristol, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at UConn Health following a lengthy illness. Thomas was the beloved widower of the late Shirley (Dallman) Jobin. Thomas was born in Torrington, CT on May 17, 1943, and was the son of the late Raymond and Ella (Wilcox) Jobin. He graduated from Central Connecticut State University, was employed by Pratt and Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford, and worked in the human resources department for over 25 years. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard for 6 years. Thomas was a huge Peanuts fan with Snoopy being his favorite character, and Thomas's essay on how much Snoopy meant to him was personally chosen by Charles Schultz (the Peanuts Author) for an award. He loved coaching his sons' T-Ball and little league teams, spending time at their former cottage in Old Lyme, and visiting the beach. He was a faithful parishioner of St. Joseph's Church in Bristol where he was a lector and coordinated the lector schedules. Thomas loved to cheer for the UConn basketball teams and the New England Patriots. Most of all, Thomas loved to spend time with his family. He was a loving father, grandfather and brother who will be missed greatly. Thomas is survived by his two sons: Timothy Jobin and his wife Jennifer of Unionville and Scott Jobin and his wife Renee of Clayton, NC. He was a proud "Poppy" to his 6 grandchildren: Madeline, Hailey, Lily, Karina, Mason and Alexa. Thomas is survived by his brother, Raymond Jobin and his wife Dalene of Florida, one niece and two nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Cecelia Kowalchick. A Mass of Christian Burial for Thomas will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, in St. Joseph Church, 33 Queen St., Bristol. Entombment with military honors will follow in the Holy Family Mausoleum (St. Joseph Cemetery), 522 Terryville Ave., Bristol. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 9-10:30 AM prior to the service, at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave.,
