Age 81 of Bloomington, beloved Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and friend to many, peacefully went to his eternal home on Nov. 9, 2022. Proceeded in death by his wife Darlene, son Terry, grandson Benjamin; parents Frank and Jennie, sister Mary Jean Peterson, brother Jimmy.
Tom is survived by daughter Pam Keeler, daughter-in-law Laura Keeler; grandchildren Ryan and Nick Spades, Brenna and Rylee Keeler; siblings, brother John(Karen) Keeler, sister Patricia(Mike) Sorenson.
Born in 1941, Tom grew up proudly in Minneapolis. He enjoyed sharing childhood memories of Lake Harriet street cars, his early school days at Saint Thomas the Apostle and Southwest High School. After graduating from Saint Cloud State University he began his long standing career with Farm Bureau Insurance. In retirement, he and Darlene enjoyed time spent with good friends in Fort Myers Beach, FL. and Cozumel, Mexico. He was constant sideline support for all grandchildren activities, and felt his own competition in keeping "The best yard in Bloomington". In addition to his love of reading history books, Tom was an avid sports fan, especially dedicated to his Minnesota Gophers. He had the gift of gab and made a friend or bent an ear at every stop he made. Tom's Catholic faith was an absolute essential part of his life. He was a man who loved the Lord, his family, church and community. He will be forever missed by those closest to him.
Mass of Christian burial Friday December 2nd at 11:00 AM at the Church of Saint Edward, 9401 Nesbitt Ave So. Bloomington with visitation one hour prior to service. Internment Dawn Valley cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorials preferred to St. Edward Catholic Church.
