Thomas S. Knight Sr.

Thomas S. Knight, Sr. passed away on October 4, 2022 at Sprenger Health Care- Smithville Western Care
Center in Wooster, Ohio, after a period of declining health. He was born in West Virginia on October 27, 1928 to the late David Russell and Ida Belle Knight, and spent most of his life in Medina, Creston and
Wooster.
Over the years, he worked at Henry Furnace, Shangri-La nursing home and owned and operated Knight's
Water & Knight's Trenching.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents; sisters Lulubelle & Hazel; brothers Russell Denvil & Dana Paul;
step-son Paul Zinsmeister; his son-in-law John Daugherty & daughter-in-law Janet Knight.
Tom is survived by his wife Sharon; sons Tom Knight Jr of Medina & Forrest Russell Knight of Rittman;
daughter Joyce Daugherty of Lodi; and step-daughter Christine Zinsmeister; as well as several
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his special fur baby,
Bella.
Tom was a social butterfly. He loved attending family gatherings and reunions, and loved sitting on his
front porch during nice weather.
Murray Funeral Home in Creston will be handling his cremation. At Tom's request, no public services
will be held.
The family would like to thank the staff at the nursing home and Wooster hospital for their care over the
last 2 years.
