Thomas Knobloch Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Swartz-Givnish Funeral Home, Inc. on Feb. 13, 2026.
Thomas Briggs Knobloch, 78, of Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026.

Tom was born and raised in Oak Beach, New York, where the Fire Island Inlet served as his backyard and shaped his lifelong love of the water and the outdoors. He attended LaSalle Military Academy before graduating from Villanova University in 1969 with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration.

Following college, Tom proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was commissioned as a Lieutenant and reported to Pensacola, Florida, where he boarded the USS Lexington, beginning a chapter of service he always held with great pride.

After his military service, Tom built a successful and respected career in automobile sales and management. He began at Colonial Cadillac in Trenton, New Jersey, and later spent many years as General Sales Manager at Mercedes-Benz of Princeton. Widely recognized as one of the top salesmen in the country, Tom was admired for his leadership, professionalism, and ability to connect with people.

Above all, Tom loved life and delighted in sharing laughter with his family and friends.

His passion for sports was well known – he was a devoted New York Giants fan, an enthusiastic supporter of Villanova Basketball, and a loyal Philadelphia Phillies fan.

Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Michelle Knobloch and his children, Kim

Bello (Joe) of Princeton Junction, NJ; Tom Knobloch Jr. (Danielle) of Yardley, PA; and Ashley Pattwell (Sean) of Haddonfield, NJ. He is also survived by three sisters, Candace Gallagher, Marguerite Pandeloglou, and Nancy Isaacson. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Grayson, Tom III, and Ophelia, who adored their "Poppy" and will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.

Visitation will be at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Newtown, Pennsylvania on February 25, 2026, from 10-11:30am followed by a Catholic Mass at 11:30am. A military burial will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tom's memory to Pickering Manor, Newtown, PA, or to Villanova University, Villanova, PA.

Tom Knobloch my cherished older brother from another mother. I so loved our burger nights on the patio in Timber Ridge watching the Phillies or inside on the few times when I cheered on the Giants . Most of all I will and do miss our many laughs at the dealership and riding the golf cart at the tournaments. I know you are comfortable and peaceful with a forever lasting Old Fashion in your hands stroking Tuckers head. Love you so much my dear friend!
