Thomas E. La Sala

Thomas E. La Sala of Pelham, New York, passed away

suddenly on March 3, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on May 4,

1953, in New York City, Thomas was a distinguished real

estate professional, sports enthusiast, and above all, a

devoted family man.

A proud alumnus of Fordham University, Thomas graduated

in 1975 before earning his law degree from Fordham Law

School in 1978. These formative years launched a

successful real estate career in his family's business

spanning over four decades. His professional legacy is

perhaps best exemplified by his role as the lead real estate

developer for the construction of the Monarch condominium

on New York's Upper East Side in 1986. He later managed

the building with the same dedication he applied to all his

endeavors. For Thomas, the family business of real estate

was at the center of his professional life.

Beyond his career, Thomas was a man of vibrant character

and warmth. He possessed a wonderful sense of humor and

a happy demeanor. An avid golfer, he was a proud member

of the Westchester Country Club for over thirty years. His

loyalty was steadfast, particularly regarding the New York

Football Giants, for whom he was a fanatical lifelong season

ticket holder. He was also a man of intellect who loved

history and political science, finding great joy in discussing

these topics with his family.

Together with his older brother Steve, he financially

supported Fordham Law's Feerick Center for Social Justice.

Pet rescue and animal welfare charities were also causes

dear to his heart. He was a figure his loved ones could

always depend on, always full of good cheer and exuding

warmth, care, and love. Thomas is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Carrie

La Sala; his daughter, Erica La Sala; his two sons, Thomas

J. La Sala and Adam La Sala and his brother, Stephen La

Sala and sister, Elena Barnabei. He is predeceased by his

mother, Helen La Sala, and his father, A. Stephen La Sala.

He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, generosity, and an

enduring love for his family.

A Memorial Mass will be at 11am on Friday March 13th at

Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Pelham, NY. Please consider
