THOMAS DAROLD LABRANT, born December 5, 1931, passed away July 21, 2022.
Preceded in death by parents, Arthur and Anna LaBrant; thirteen siblings; infant son, Michael; daughter-in-law, Angel; great granddaughters, Tarryn McGhee, Violet Bender; and great-grandsons, Kyler and Kamron Davis, and Luke Bennett.
Survived by wife, Carole Grace LaBrant; children, Carole (Randy) Guffey, Faith (Paul) Larson, Diana (Gaius) Vainikka, Debbie (Dave) Davis, Thomas (Joann) LaBrant, Judi (Vince) Bennett, Dawn (Charlie) Davis, Stephen (Lisa) LaBrant, and Roger LaBrant; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Kannianen; and a host of Christian Friends.
Thomas, known to friends and family as Darold, grew up on his family farm in Belden, North Dakota, one of fifteen children. He joined the United States Army in 1950, where he served for a short time until an honorable discharge in 1951. He married Grace on December 7, 1951, and they raised nine children in Mounds View, MN. He was a long-time member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church.
Darold enjoyed the companionship of his family and friends, always eager to greet those he knew and meet those he hadn't. He especially delighted in the company of his children and grandchildren, always extending a humble helping hand. He was a collector and record-keeper, and enjoyed riding his bicycle, even into his elder years.
Visitation 6-7:30 PM, Sunday 7/24; funeral service 11:00 AM, Monday 7/25, all at Old Apostolic Lutheran Church, 5617 Rowland Road, Minnetonka. Interment Old Apostolic Lutheran Cemetery, Delano. www.Washburn-McReavy.com
