Thomas Ray Lancial

Thomas R. Lancial, 79, of Rock Island, Illinois, died Thursday, February 22, 2024, at home surrounded by his family.

Services to celebrate Tom’s life are 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 29, at Elim Covenant Church, Moline.  Private burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery.  Cremation will take place prior to services at Trimble Funeral Home and Crematory. Memorials may be made to QC Animal Welfare.  

Thomas Ray Lancial was born January 24, 1945, in Knoxville, Iowa, the son of Raymond Paul and Dorothy Louise (Talbot) Lancial. He received an Associates Degree from Blackhawk College and later married the love of his life, Annette Cornell on May 15, 1976 in Milan, Illinois. 

He worked as a Mechanic on the Rock Island Arsenal for over 30 years. He enjoyed scuba diving, wood working, watching monster and sci-fi movies, and traveling. Above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. 

Thomas is survived by his children, Scott (Kelli) Lancial, Laura (Todd) Kilen, Alice (Morgan) Davis, John (Pam) Lancial, and Elizabeth (Ken) McMullen; 11 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; sister, Karen Ables; and grandson, Dax.
