Thomas Leo “Tommy” Langlois III, 44, passed away on August 23, 2025 at his home in Walker, Louisiana after a valiant fight against cancer, while surrounded by the family that loved him dearly. Born on January 17, 1981, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Tommy was a lifelong resident of the state he loved.

A graduate of Walker High School in 1999, where he was known as the voice of the Walker Wildcats during baseball season and he later became a two-time graduate from ITT Technical College, earning the honor of Valedictorian each year. Tommy was known among those who knew him as a quiet soul with a deep and unwavering love for his family. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life—especially cooking, fishing, and hunting. Affectionately called the “chef of the family,” Tommy’s culinary talents brought people together and created lasting memories around the table. Whether preparing a favorite dish or experimenting with something new, he poured his heart into every meal.

Tommy shared his love for the outdoors with those closest to him. Fishing and hunting trips with his mom, dad, sisters, uncles, aunt, and nephews were treasured times that reflected his deep connection to nature and family. These moments were not just hobbies—they were expressions of love and togetherness that defined much of his life.

Tommy had a unique appreciation for sumo wrestling, a passion that might have surprised some but delighted those close to him. He admired the discipline, strength, and tradition of the sport, often sharing his enthusiasm through late-night match highlights or fun facts about his favorite rikishi. It was yet another reflection of his thoughtful nature and the way he found joy in unexpected places.

He is deeply mourned by his parents, Thomas "Tom" Leo Langlois Jr. and Viveca Gayle Langlois; sisters Tara Langlois (Mike Cotton) and Jessica Kilpatrick (Bradley Kilpatrick); uncles Toby Langlois, Avin Langlois, and Brother Ratcliff; aunts Dale Linton, Darlene Langlois, Susan Ratcliff and Melody Adams; great uncle Melvin Jones and great aunt Pat Jones; nephews Chase Ezell, Cody Ezell, Randin Craig and Ashton Kilpatrick; nieces Hannah Lea, Harley Craig and Kamille Kilpatrick; and cousins Adam Linton and Sabrina Linton; great cousins Chris Linton, Jay Linton, and Nick Linton.

Tommy was preceded in death by his grandfather’s Thomas Leo Langlois Sr. “Old Pawpaw” and Edward Ratcliff; and grandmothers Helen Langlois “Mawmaw” and Alice Ruth Ratcliff “Nannie”.

A celebration of life to be held on a future date.

Though quiet by nature, Tommy’s presence spoke volumes through his actions—his kindness in the kitchen, his patience on the water or in the woods, and his wholehearted devotion to those he loved. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
