Thomas Richard Leyba
February 18, 1942 - July 31, 2023
A longtime resident of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, since 1976, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023. He is survived by his son, Tom Leyba and daughter, Anjeanette, (husband) Jerry Martin, grandchildren; Jerry Wayne Martin III, Ashely Jacobus, Allison Martin and Gabriel Leyba, sisters; Julia Gonzales, Jeanette Feldman, brother; Earnest Leyba.
Mr. Leyba was preceded in death by his father, James Leyba, mother, Cenobia Leyba, brothers, Sonny Leyba and Robert Leyba.
Mr. Leyba was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Albuquerque, NM.
Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 16, 2023; 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 4th St NW, Albuquerque, NM., a Reception will follow at the Parish Hall.
Committal Service will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023; 11:00 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM.
Pallbearers will be Gabriel Leyba, Wanda Feldman, Jerry Wayne Martin III, Dominic Gonzales, Patty Besse and Greg Jacobus.
Dad, you are going to be missed beyond words can describe. Your laugh, your smile is what I'll remember the most of you. I know you are at peace now, but it will never take away how much you will be missed.
