Thomas Edward Liptrot

Thomas Edward Liptrot, 67, died peacefully Thursday evening, October 19, 2023, at the Abington Memorial Hospital.
Born in Bethlehem, PA, and raised in Lower Bucks County, Tom attended Queen of the Universe Grade School, and was a 1973 graduate of Bishop Egan High School. He went on to attend Penn State University and then, recognizing his passion for the Culinary Arts, he pursued and received a Fine Arts Degree from the Culinary Institute of America in Washington, D.C.
A lifelong chef, Tom resided briefly in Centerville, VA, where he owned his own restaurant. Upon returning to the Lower Bucks County area, Tom worked at serval locations including The Temperance House, The Brick Hotel, The Moshulu, the Wycombe Inn, and several other fine dining establishments.
Tom was an avid outdoorsman and fisherman; he enjoyed cycling and had a deep interest and was very knowledgeable about Civil War history.
He will be fondly remembered as an outgoing, friendly, giving, and caring person. His positive attitude and smile for those he met will never be forgotten.
Son of the late William and Mary Fox Liptrot, and brother of the late Sharon Bloom, he is survived by his two brothers; Pete (Suzette), Mike (Jennifer), his nieces and nephews, Ellen, Bryan, Billy, Rebecca, and his dear friend and companion, Nora Marin, and several extended family members and friends.
His funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday, October 26,2023, 11 AM, at the Queen of the Universe R.C. Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA. Relatives and friends will be received from 10 AM until time of his mass. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, PA
